Sandy Campbell

Let's get back to pictures.

Here is the world- renowned anatomist and sea cadet Drum Major Sandy Campbell declaiming and explaining human anatomy. Sandy had the idea for this photograph when he saw a wired together skeleton of the hand.

The printing on the board is visible on the full resolution file (as is "Bank of Montreal" on the calendar). The printing on the board says: "THE ANATOMY of the HUMAN HAND." The photographer instructed him to place his free arm in that odd position and his right elbow as far back as possible so that his overlong right forearm was not so obvious. The webmaster was tempted to shorten Sandy's right forearm by using the magic of software. The temptation has been resisted, however, in the interest of preserving the flavour of that inane afternoon.
